Leadership Sandpoint

Objective
Identify leaders in the Greater Sandpoint area and provide them an interactive experience to gain an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a citizen-leader in our multi-faceted community. The program aids participants in developing an information base of local history, resources and key issues facing our surrounding communities. Leadership Sandpoint also provides the opportunity to build a strong local network with leaders in all sectors of our community.
PROGRAM
Overview
Sandpoint is a dynamic community. This energy and constant reshaping presents many challenges and opportunities for the citizens of Sandpoint. Keeping our community vibrant and healthy requires insightful leaders who have the ability to communicate and work effectively with a wide variety of groups. Leadership Sandpoint is a program designed to facilitate the development and growth of the leaders of tomorrow and provides opportunity to interact with community members as the class explores community issues.

Tuition
Chamber Member Tuition: $325 due September 14, 2012.
Non-Chamber Member Tuition: $375 due September 14, 2012.
Attendance
Leadership Sandpoint consists of nine sessions. Participants are expected to attend all sessions and must not miss more than two classes in order to graduate.
Commitment
Leadership Sandpoint is a two-year commitment. Each participant will attend the sessions the first year and then organize with their classmates a community project. After graduation students are responsible for organizing and facilitating the following year's class sessions and Youth Leadership sessions.
