What's Happening
- Greater Sandpoint was awarded $73,045 in grant funds from ITC to promote the area as a travel destination.
- The committee has created focus groups including advertising, website, Visitor's Guide, and membership and is always seeking involvement of Visit Sandpoint members.
Mission
To promote tourism into the Greater Sandpoint area, particularly for the benefit of our Visit Sandpoint members, through effective membership communication and networking and maximization of Idaho Travel Council (ITC Grant) funds in public relations, web presence and cooperative advertising opportunities.
Programs & Services
Assist with positive business development of tourism related businesses, which in turn will promote other area businesses on which tourism business rely. In order to accomplish this, they do the following:
- Apply for and manage ITC Grant funds used to "put heads in beds."
- Produce annual Visitor Guide featuring Visit Sandpoint members and all lodging partners.
- Oversee Visit Sandpoint website to promote Visit Sandpoint members.
